Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) was established in 2014 as an independent, non-political organization focused on international relations. FPCI aims to be the first foreign policy organization that can bring together students, lecturers, government agencies, diplomatic corps, international organizations, civil society, business communities, think tanks, journalists and the general public into a large community of foreign policy enthusiasts. When we say foreign policy, we mean it in general terms: diplomacy, defense, international law, economics, business and investment, development cooperation, environment, etc. – anything that has international dimensions. Our stated mission is to “shape and promote positive Indonesian internationalism throughout the nation and to the world”. We aim to bring Indonesian ideas and analysis to the global marketplace of ideas and conversely, to bring international perspectives and analyses to Indonesia, especially those in the provinces, regions, districts and cities as well as countryside.
