Launching of ASEAN-China Survey 2020




Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia has conducted a survey about ASEAN-China relations that will enter its 30th anniversary next year in 2021. This survey is titled “ASEAN-China Survey 2020: Assessing the Present and Envisioning the Future of ASEAN-China Relations”.

The survey was conducted from July to September and involving 1000 respondents (Academia, Official, Civil Society, Business Community, and Student) from 10 ASEAN Countries.

Throughout the survey, we found and analyzed a candid and grass rooted perspective about ASEAN-China relations from ASEAN People. All these analysis and conclusion is concluded in our report that will be introduced in FPCI’s report launching event. 

The launching will be held in an open forum inviting all public spheres to join. This program will be broadcasted live on FPCI YouTube Channel and be available to the public to watch. There will be no presentations, discussion will be moderated in a panel question and answer style. 

The panel discussion will feature three experts representing ASEAN, China, and Indonesia and will be moderated by Prof. Dewi Fortuna Anwar, Co-founder of FPCI and Research Professor at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI).

Here are the panelists:
1) H.E. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary-General for Political-Security Community, ASEAN
2) H.E. Deng Xijun, Permanent Representative, Mission of the People’s Republic of China to ASEAN*
3) Dr. Dino Patti Djalal, Founder, Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI).
